Mower earns PRNEWS Platinum Award for “Beyond Connected in Westchester” content marketing campaign

NEW YORK—October 17, 2022— Mower struck platinum at the PRNEWS Platinum Award ceremony in New York City, winning the Content Marketing award for a Westchester County Tourism & Film Instagram and web content campaign titled, “Beyond Connected in Westchester”.

The PRNEWS Platinum Awards mark excellence in communications across people, teams and campaigns. The winners of this world-renowned recognition represent the best of the best—those that have reached the pinnacle of both innovation and industry knowledge. The Content Marketing category included a competitive field of U.S. and international entries from well-known brands.

This impressive win comes on the heels of several other notable honors for Mower’s Travel & Tourism specialty and its work supporting travel to Westchester County, including:

  • HSMAI Adrian Awards – Gold for Digital Marketing – Social Media Campaign

About the Work

The goal of this campaign was to leverage Westchester County Tourism & Film’s Instagram page and website to showcase Westchester as a destination beyond the everyday. Five content marketing initiatives were activated, including a range of content pieces leading up to the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show; a series of stories featuring 16 county businesses to share first-person accounts about Westchester dining, arts, entertainment, outdoors, and history; travel routes themed around an interest or type of traveler; a series of Instagram reels that offered a snapshot of the County’s communities; and an influencer marketing initiative to promote the fall travel experience. Year-over-year, the Westchester County Tourism’s Instagram channel grew 75% in engagements, 85% in profile actions, and 54% in net followers.
