Mower is currently seeking an organized Contract Administrator to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for reviewing and drafting contracts along with maintaining policies, guidelines, spreadsheets, and contract templates for the agency. 

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Act as the first legal point of contact for the company regarding required legal language in master services agreements, vendor contracts, NDA’s, and leases
  • Manage contract execution process by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including adding standard terms for approvals in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms
  • Work closely with outside legal counsel to address questions and clarify legal requirements
  • Ensure that employees understand and comply with company contracts
  • Administer contracts database and post-execution contract matters 
  • Maintain client lists for contract requirements such as breach, background checks, insurance, publicity, exclusivity, termination provisions, payment terms, and requirements related to independent contractors 
  • Maintain and update policies, guidelines, and contract templates as needed
  • Support continuous improvements of legal forms, policies, and processes to be automated where possible
  • Manage contract life cycle, both internally and externally, in a timely fashion
  • Communicate and coordinate with account managers regarding deadlines and renewals of client contracts
  • Engage directly with Senior Management 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting, additional qualifications in law are a plus.
  • Proven work experience as a Contract Administrator or relevant role
  • Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts
  • Familiarity with accounting procedures, advertising, and sales terminology
  • Experience negotiating commercial contracts in the advertising space, including NDAs and master services agreements, is a plus
  • Interpersonal skills to work in a team environment with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, utilizing effective organizational skills to prioritize and manage deadlines for multiple simultaneous projects involving multiple team members
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting systems, spreadsheets, and email at a highly proficient level
  • Professional, courteous, and effective written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000 annually

*Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience
