Mower continues on a winning streak with two Boston campaign wins advancing to the National Level in the American Advertising Awards (ADDYs), the largest creative competition in the world with over 40,000 local entries competing in 200 markets coast to coast. District level for New England includes major markets like Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. All of Mower’s winning work was created for National Grid to support the New England area.
One of the country’s top independent marketing, advertising and public relations agencies, Mower was recognized two times in the New England ADDYs, 21 times in the local Buffalo ADDYs and five times in the local Cleveland ADDYs, proving to have produced some of the best work entered in each respective market. Divided into three award levels, campaigns must first win at the Local level before advancing to the District level, to which those wins then move to the final National level competition.

With global energy prices on the rise, companies like National Grid are looking for ways to help their customers save energy and money. One proven way is high-efficiency heat pumps. This all-in-one heating and cooling technology makes it easy for customers to keep their homes comfortable all year long. With several different models available, our challenge was to help customers find the right heat pump for their homes. To do that, we used a cast of eye-catching characters who invited them to escape to the Great Indoors—a place with greater energy efficiency and greater savings. And most of all, greater comfort.
About The American Advertising Awards
The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local ad club competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local phase is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Across the country, local entrants vie to win ADDY Awards – recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local American Advertising Award winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national stage of the American Advertising Awards.
